2003 Grants
Grand Canyon National Parks Foundation ($4,000) to support environmental research work to survey, monitor and protect endangered wildlife living in the Grand Canyon Colorado River corridor;

Grand Canyon Wildlands Council ($4,000) to support an invertebrate pests research project;

Grand Canyon Trust ($10,000) to support efforts to protect the Grand Canyon seeps and springs and for continuing participation in the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Program;

Grand Canyon River Guides ($24,000) to support the Adopt-A-Beach monitoring project, the Guides Training Seminar, ongoing work with the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Work Group, and the research and printing of a Grand Canyon plant field guide;

National River Clean-Up Week ($1,000) to support their work in providing publicity and supplies, organization, safety and educational information to existing and potential cleanup groups;

The Peregrine Fund ($2,000) to support efforts to restore the California Condor to the Grand Canyon area;

Grand Canyon Youth ($5,000) to provide river trip scholarship assistance for outdoor education programs to promote youth environmental awareness and community involvement in Grand Canyon;

Care & Share Food Bank ($3,000) to sponsor food delivery efforts to Havasupai tribe;

Colorado Discover Ability ($10,000) to provide river trip scholarship assistance for people with disabilities;

Environmental Traveling Comparions ($5,000) to provide river trip scholarship assistance for people with disabilities;

River of Dreams ($6,000) to provide river trip scholarship assistance for people with disabilities;

The Whale Foundation ($10,000) to support their continuing educational and outreach activities supporting mental health programs for members of the Grand Canyon river community and their families; and

Wilderness Inquiry ($10,000) to provide river trip scholarship assistance for people with disabilities.
